Consent

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Two separate consents. Each is given on its own screen with its own statement, and each can be withdrawn on its own. How your data is processed is explained separately in our Privacy Policy.

1. Health and nutrition records

Statement: "I consent to the processing of my health and nutrition records." Given with the checkbox on the account step, or once in a pop-up for existing users.

Scope: My meal records and meal photos, water, height, weight and body measurements, medication and dose records, symptoms and dietary preferences (such as halal and sensitive stomach) are processed by Mehmet Doğan Coşkun, the developer of CalJab, to:

My records are stored on servers in Germany, visible only to me; they are not sold or used for advertising.

If I do not consent: CalJab cannot keep records, so no account is created. If I am an existing user, I can still view, download and delete my records, but I cannot add new ones.

Withdrawing: I can withdraw at any time by turning off the switch in Me > Privacy > Permissions and data. If I withdraw, my health and nutrition records are deleted; the app first suggests that I download them. Withdrawal does not affect processing done before it.

2. AI logging

Statement: By tapping "Allow" in the "Let OpenAI recognize the food?" window shown at my first AI request, I give explicit consent within the scope below.

Scope: When I use AI logging features, the content I send (a food or menu photo, a recipe link or text, a food sentence I type or say, a note I add) is transferred to OpenAI OpCo, LLC in the USA to recognize the foods and estimate their nutrition values.

If I do not consent: Logging by hand, by barcode and from lists works the same.

Withdrawing: I can turn it off at any time in Me > Privacy > Permissions and data. After that, no content is sent.
